Kathy,
My family and I wanted to express our condolences to you and your family on the passing of your mother, Helen. I have so many memories of you and Mary and your mother. She took Louise and I to so many places and exposed us to so many things that we never would have had the opportunity to see or do. She was a true teacher and loved to share her wisdom with us. Your mother took us to the KRNT Theatre every Christmas to hear the Messiah. She let us tag along to the art center and most every exhibit and event that came to Des Moines. She taught us how to play Cannasta and how to make special arts and crafts. Our lives were so much richer because of the kindness that your mother showed us. Your mother would advise us on books that we should read and if we needed any help with school work she was always right there. I remember jumping into the old gren car and your mom would take us on an exciting field trip.
I will miss your mother very much. I have an Aunt in Bishop Drumm and my dad lives only a block away. I would have loved to visit her if I knew tht she was there. Your mother will be missed. God Bless, The Faber Family
