John O. Swackhamer, 81, passed away June 26, 2010 at Taylor House Hospice. He was born October 25, 1928 in Iowa City, IA to John and Edna Swackhamer.
John is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Carolyn; sons, Michael Swackhamer, Steven (Lee Ann) Swackhamer and John (Angela) Swackhamer; brother, Robert (Carol) Swackhamer; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Swackhamer.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Goshen Cemetery in Lucas, IA. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
