Carol Turnipseed

Carol R. Turnipseed, 69, died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Hospital after a short battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 2, 2010 at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Carol was born July 30, 1940 to Richard and Pauline Warden in Des Moines. She worked at Coastal Oil Company for many years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Carol enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, spending time with her grandchildren and family; and homemaking.
Carol will be greatly missed and is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ed Turnipseed; sons, Kelly (Melody) Bethards, Tracy (Debbie) Bethards, and Tony (Cathy) Bethards; step-children, Ricky Turnipseed and Pamela (Brian) Tingley; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn (Joann) Warden; sisters, Evelynn (Darrell) Copenhaver, Patricia Wild, and Jeri Warden; and a host of other family and beloved friends.

I have such great memories of Carol. I was so sad to hear of her passing. Our condolences go out to you. You are in our hearts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss, I just had a nice visit with carolyn at moms service. She always had a great smile. I'm sorry I didn't get to know her better. Heven must really be getting filled up with our family. My best to you all, you're all in my thoughts, prayers and heart. Donna

Dearest family of Carol's. Mother and I are so saddened to learn of your loss. Our hearts and prayers go out to you all. I have very fond memories of Carol and how she would help me with my homework, she was always so great to mother and I. I am so glad that I got to spend a few minutes last May with Carol, Patti and Jeri, it was so nice to get caught up after all these years. I will always cherish the time we spent together. I'm so sorry for your loss, we had such a nice visit at mom,s service, I had no idea she was ill. I'm sorry I didn't get to know her better. Our family is in heven will all there loved ones. My prayers and thoughts are will you all.
