Reva C. Cox

Reva C. Cox, 86, passed away June 22, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, June 26, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Reva was born April 18, 1924 in Red Oak, Iowa to Nellie and Elmer McDonald. She was dedicated to her family, and loved spending time with them. Reva also enjoyed doing puzzle books. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Tom) Mason of Wisconsin, Roxann Thompson, Doris Carpenter and Toni Thompson all of Des Moines, and Kelli (Steve) Vorrath of West Des Moines; her 12 granddaughters and 8 grandsons; 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Reva was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Cox.
