Marlene Neff

Marlene Phyllis Neff, 75, passed away peacefully Monday, June 21, 2010 at Bright Kavanagh Hospice House, Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM, Friday, June 25, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Des Moines.

Marlene was born, September 23, 1934 in Cripple Creek, Colorado to her loving parents, Walter and Delphine (De Splinter) Neff. She lived in the Chicago area until 1960, then she moved to Des Moines area. Marlene was a very gentle, kind soul, who lived for her grandchildren. She also loved to read.

Marlene is survived by her six loving children: Rondelle Stephenson, Altoona, IA, Gary Green, Des Moines, IA, Ramona (Bruce) Gerber, San Diego, CA, Loralee Gale, Des Moines, IA, Valerie (Jennifer Haney) Gale, Des Moines, IA, and Rebecca Gale, Urbandale, IA; two brothers, Richard Neff, Chicago, IL, and Larry (Joshua Oliver) Neff, La Habra, CA; eight wonderful grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents.
