Richard Cobb

Richard L. Cobb, 55, died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at his home in Pleasant Hill. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rich was born October 22, 1951 to Harold and Lola Cobb in St. Joseph, MO. After graduating from North High School, he served in the US Marine Corps. Rich worked as a tire builder at Firestone for 9 years. He was a devoted husband and father.
Richard is survived by his wife of 36 years, Verna of Pleasant Hill; sons, Nolan (Tarah) of Pleasant Hill and Nicholas (Latisha) of Des Moines; granddaughter, Taylor; brother, Bruce (Bev) Thomas of Calgary, Canada; and a host of beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the John Stoddard Cancer Center, Iowa Health Foundation, 1440 Ingersoll Avenue; Des Moines, IA 50309.
