Etha "Marie" Tyler

Etha Marie Tyler, 93, was born February 20, 1917 in Runnells, Iowa, the daughter of Ole and Hazel (Halterman) Hunnell. She passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Genesis Senior Living Center.

Marie is survived by her children, Ron (Kathy) Tyler, Betty (Al) Norris and Kitty (Bill) Matthews; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bennie Tyler; her children, Huber Tyler, Stephen Tyler and Elaine Caraker; two siblings and her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2317 Watrous Avenue. The family will greet friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Christian education in loving memory of Marie. Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
