We were so happy and thankful to come spend time with you, Don and the kids. Bob really enjoyed the visits with Don, Kenny and Dave also. It has helped him cope with Don's passing much easier. We hope that "you" are able to rest by now! We are thinking of you always. Will call. See you Saturday!

To: Sue and the Philpott Family,
My thought and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I had the privelage and opprotunity to work with Don for many years at Hy-Vee Weitz. If Don had a question he wouldn't hesitate to call you, as well if I had a question about something I would call Don. He will be missed by many, many people.

Dear Sue and the Philpott Family,
It was with sadness that I learned of Don's passing. He was a wonderful, caring, talented man. His many accomplishments include being a loyal husband, father, grandfather, friend and employee.
He was a craftsman in many ways. He built a home for his family, not only with brick and mortar, but with love and charactor that carries on in his family even as he is gone.
Don fought such a battle against a terrible foe. He was spent from the battle and has now found the peace that he deserves. May God be with him and bless his family and friends during the diffcult time.

To Don's Family,
Don was loved and respected by so many! He had a heart of gold and drive and determination like NO ONE ELSE I have ever met. He will be missed by so many including the Brindley's. I got to know Don very well in my past years with Hy-Vee/Weitz. We spent countless hours on the road traveling all over the midwest remodeling Grocery Stores. We had a lot of "windshield time" and Don shared so many stories of his life with his grand children, daughters, son-in-laws and his lovely wife. Every Monday was a new story of the weekend that had passed. He was always so anxious to talk about the events that had taken place and couldn't wait to plan for the next. He loved his family so VERY much and was as proud of each and every one of you as any man could ever be!!! Don lived the life of 10 men, he was always there to take on any task no matter how big. He couldn't say no and always hit every challenge head on. He shared with me so many things, and I am grateful to have him as part of my life as a friend and a mentor. He will always be in our hearts! I realize that no words really heal the pain you are feeling, but I want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I enjoyed working with Don for many years at Hy-Vee Weitz. He was always willing to go the extra mile for our customer. I especially enjoyed our company functions in which Don was able to bring his lovely wife, Sue. You may not know it but Don was so proud of all of his children and grandchildren. He was always telling me about his fishing outings with his grandkids. What a joy they were to him! I will keep all of you in my prayers during the difficult days ahead.
Sincerely,
Theresa

Don showed me that a real man can tie a fishing line in the morning and sing along to a musical in the evening. He touched more lives than he could have known and will always be a role model to me. Safe travels and good fishing my friend.
