Alice Glanz

Alice B. Glanz, 86, passed away June 15, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Alice was born April 4, 1924 to Mildred and Jack Sidoner in Marshalltown, Iowa. She grew up in Des Moines and was married to William Glanz until his death in 1990. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and showing love and affection to us all. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl C. Patton and William A. (Donna) Glanz; Sister, Armenta Eckels; grandchildren, Kevin Patton, Kathy Patton, Nicole (Brian) Schnitzlein, Sara Glanz, Erin (Joshua) Thompson, Whitney (Kevin) McCubbin, Kaci Thornton, Austin Kennard and Marc Hannan; great grandchildren, Breanna Schnitzlein, Brett Schnitzlein, Abigail Thompson and Elisabeth Thompson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William.
