Clayton Wallace

Clayton Dale Wallace was born July 2, 1922. He was the third of four sons born to Charles and Rose Wallace in Coon Rapids, IA. He graduated from Coon Rapids High School. He served in the U.S. Air Corps during WWII. After his service duty, he worked in the medical field as a physician’s assistant. Clayton was also a pastor in Upland, CA for five years at the Community of Christ Church, formerly Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His ministry continued when returning to Des Moines as an Elder until his passing on March 3, 2007.
Clayton is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary E.; three daughters, Judy, Jessica and Rosemary; son, John; brother, Jack; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Kenny and Wilfred.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 at Community of Christ Church (Central), 1645 Penn Ave. Visitation with viewing will begin one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community of Christ Church (Central).
