Gerald C. Jones

Jerry Jones, 74, went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. He was born January 12, 1936 to Eunice and Richard Jones in Luverne, Minnesota.

He enjoyed anything pertaining to his grandchildren, cooking and baking, church activities, traveling, and life in general.

His working career included Fenn Bros. Ice Cream Company, Truck Haven Cafes, HyVee, Ballard Community Schools, and Willis Auto Campus.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Toni Jones; son, Blane (Susan) Jones; daughter, Tracy (Doug) Repp; grandchildren, Nathan (Kaytee), Zach, Marshall, and Molly; siblings, Audrey (Loren) DePauw of Luverne, MN; Patty Niemann and Judy (Ernie) Niemann both of Sioux Falls, SD; and Jerry Hagen of Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 7, 2010 at First Assembly of God Church, 2725 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines. Friends may visit with family from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Royal Family Kids Camp in loving memory of Jerry.
