Leo Goulden

Leo Sherwood Goulden, 79, passed away March 2 at his home in Indianola. Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
Leo was born June 29, 1927 in Des Moines to Veronica and Carl Courter. He had worked for Mid American Freight Company (formerly Bruce Motor Freight) for 38 years before retiring in 1982. He lived in Montezuma since 1972 and most recently in Indianola. Leo was a longtime member of the Teamster’s Union. He was inducted in the Iowa Softball Hall of Fame. Leo loved being with his family. He enjoyed playing softball and golfing.
Leo is survived by his loving wife, Delores M. Goulden, his children, Linda Milligan (Jim) of Indianola, Rick Goulden (RoseAnn) and Dan Goulden both of Des Moines and four grandchildren, Rob, Mindy and Shelley Milligan and Kayleena Goulden.
