Kenneth Semple

Kenneth Semple, 72, passed away June 2, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center.

Kenneth was born September 27, 1937 in Des Moines to James and Elizabeth (MacKay) Semple. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years and retired from John Deere in 1998 after 29 years of service. Kenneth was a member of UAW and enjoyed traveling, especially his reunion trips to England.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Randy (Christy), Todd and Kenny (Kim) Semple; daughter, Laura Semple; brothers, James Semple and Will MacKay; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter Terry.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at the funeral home.
