Theresia Larsen

Theresia Larsen, 81, passed quietly and bravely to her final rest on May 28, 2010 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

She was born on January 31, 1929 to Veda and Leo John Schaffer. Theresia spent her entire life in Des Moines, where she devoted her life to her husband and raising, loving, and tending to her five children and many grandchildren.

Theresia enjoyed playing cards, loved board games, puzzles, bingo, reading novels, but most of all, adored spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and a sister.

Theresia will be greatly missed by the many whose lives she touched and especially by the family in whom her spirit will live on: her loving husband of 62 years, Lloyd Larsen, her three daughters, Lonnie (Bob) Clark, Donna (Dennis) Pittman, and Laurette Forney; her two sons, John Larsen and Michael (Vicki) Larsen; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.

A memorial service in her honor will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 2600 E. Euclid.

Contributions in her memory will be gratefully accepted by Taylor House Hospice of Des Moines.
