Service Details
Tyler Nathen Smith, 23, died May 22, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
He is survived by his parents, Edwin and Deborah Smith; brother, Duncan (Mary) Smith;
sisters, Jessica and Emma Smith; maternal grandfather, Robert (Judy) Kirkpatrick; paternal grandmother, Maxine Smith; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ty enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
Tyler is preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Kirkpatrick and grandfather, Dale Smith.
Visitation will be 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Smith Family,
I met Tyler last summer through working at Lowes. He was a great co-worker and friend. He made my transition as a new employee very easy. He always helped me when I needed it and was very friendly. On top of that, he became a good friend outside of work. We had a lot of fun together that summer including spending time on your boat at Saylorville Lake, grilling in your back yard, and playing Halo in your basement. He was a great person and had a strong positive impact on my life, which I am truly grateful for. He will be missed.
