Scott Randall Agan, 50, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL. He was born October 14, 1959 to Clifford and Betty Agan in Des Moines.

Scott grew up in the Des Moines area and graduated from Saydel High School in 1978. He had resided in Jacksonville, AL for the past 13 years. He was the Public Works Director for the city of Weaver, AL, and, a member of the Weaver City Council. His many accomplishments included the creation of the Weaver BMX Race Track, a skate park, and many city park improvements. Scott was honored by a local developer, having a street named for him – “Agan Court.” He loved music, auto racing (NASCAR), sports, electronics, and was enjoying Facebook, where he had reconnected with many friends from his past, including a favorite school teacher, Ms. June Harvey. Scott especially loved spending time with his family and vacationing at Gulf Shores, AL. Scott was much loved and respected by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Tyler and Cassidy Agan; mother, Betty Jean Agan; siblings, Clifford Agan, Jr., Carol (John) Smith, Carla (Roger) West, Michael Agan, Bruce (Linda) Agan, Carma (Bill Recker) Agan, Chris (Shelly) Agan; many nieces and nephews, and a grandson, Logan. Scott was preceded in death by his father, the late Clifford Harold Agan; sisters, Terry Jean Agan and Jennith Leone Johnson.

Memorial Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Friends may visit with family from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
