Walter Moehle

Walter Henry Moehle, 75, passed away peacefully February 28 at his son’s home following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm Sunday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial with military honor’s will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Walter was born May 28, 1931 in Sheffield, IA to Ella and George Moehle.
He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.. He worked at American Can and received his 25 year pin before retiring. Walter enjoyed his family, fishing, Nascar racing and “tinkering”.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy. He is survived by his sons, John Moehle and Mike (Lesa) Moehle. his daughters, LouAnn (Mike) Murphy and Allyn (Marty) Wellander; his brother, Bob Moehle and his seven grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children.
