Richard "Rick" Eilbert

Richard “Rick” Eilbert, 64 died peacefully at his home May 18, 2010.

Richard was born July 29, 1945 in Des Moines to Charles and Susan Eilbert. He graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1963. He worked as a sheet metal worker and was a proud member of Local 45 for 40 years.

Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, antiquing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his wife of 45 years, Toni (DeFino) Eilbert; children, Yvette Eilbert and Deneen (Chris) Marcum; parents, Charles and Susan Eilbert; brother, Gary Eilbert; sister, Diane Griggs; grandchildren, Connor Eilbert and Margo Marcum; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his nephew, Gary David Eilbert.

A funeral service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th, with burial to follow at Avon Cemetery. A visitation will occur from 5:30-8:30 PM, Friday evening at the funeral home.
