Harold C. Fulton

Harold C. Fulton was born in Tama, Iowa on October 21, 1923 and died May 15, 2010 at Sunny View Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

After serving in the Army in WWII, he attended Cornell College, graduating in 1949. He then worked as the purchasing manager for Fulton Manufacturing Company in West Allis, Wisconsin. Harold served as head usher at Apostle Presbyterian Church for forty years. He moved to Ankeny, Iowa in 1992.

Surviving him are his wife Marjorie (Weller), and his three children, Carol Fulton of Ames, Gerald (Shirley) Fulton of Taipei, Taiwan, and Janet (David) Alvarez of Chandler, AZ; four grandchildren, Weston and Jordan Alvarez and Clay and Max Fulton; sister, Ruth (Murwin) Barnes of West Des Moines, IA; brother, Floyd (Jeanne) Fulton of Ft. Myers, FL; sister-in-law, Edith Weller or Marion, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Vincent and Stella Fulton; brother, Lester Fulton; and sister, Edna Fulton, all of Tama, IA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Hospice, Ankeny First United Methodist Church, or the American Heart Association.
