Frank Berttucci

Frank Julius Berttucci, 66, died Monday, February 26, 2007 from a heart attack at his home in Des Moines.
Frank was born in Des Moines on October 19, 1940 to Nello and Hannah Berttucci. He was a graduate of Saydel High School and served in the Iowa Air National Guard for 35 years until his retirement in 1993. After retiring, Frank loved to spend his time playing golf, fishing and hunting. He was a loyal and dedicated father and friend. One of his greatest joys was being a grandpa.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine Burger, her husband Carlton and their two sons, Garrett and Jakey, all of West Des Moines; brother Joe (Rose) of Lockport, IL; sister Elizabeth White of Perris, CA; sister Mary Jane (George) Grimm of Ankeny, IA; sister Irene Dascola of Katy, TX; sister Bernadine (Roger) Lane of Thousand Oaks, CA; sister Kathy (Don) Miller of Katy, TX.
A memorial service will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 3601 Westown Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 10 am. Visitation will be held at Hamilton’s on Sunday, March 11, 2007, from 2 to 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Frank to the American Cancer Society’s construction of the Hope Lodge in Iowa City.
