Mary Lou Belcher, 77, passed away at her home May 10, 2010.
Mary Lou was born October 18, 1932 in Fontanelle, IA to Otto and Emma (Koffman) Wheatley. She retired from AMF Western Tool and later in life also did in home care. Mary Lou was born and raised on a farm and loved the farm life. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, going to garage sales, crocheting, baking and spending time with her children and grandchildren; and pets, dogs Tucker and Pearl, cat Cooper, and bird Coco.
Mary Lou is survived by her children, Gary (Kathy) Brandenburg, Karen (Jack) McCuen, Kristy (Dwayne) Daniels and Mark (Ronda) Brandenburg; her former husband, Dale Brandenburg; grandchildren, Jack, Jeff, Kane, Jason, Emma, Leah and Olivia; great-grandsons, Joey, Max and Anthony; and her siblings, Maxine, LeRoy, Myrna and Mardell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Eureka Cemetery in Fontanelle. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
