Albert Rafdal

Albert H. Rafdal, age 91, died at home on February 27, 2007. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 3rd, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Albert was born in Story City, Iowa, son of Torger and Hanna Rafdal and had lived in Des Moines since 1945. He retired from the John Hancock Insurance Co. in 1981 after 14 years. He was an army veteran of WW II and a member of the 3rd Armored Spearhead Division Association.
Surviving are wife, Doreen; son, John (Jeanne); twin brother Alton (Bea); brothers, Donald (Opal) and Elwood (Beulah); sisters, Margaret Twedt and Gladys Waugh, and granddaughter, Jadie Rafdal. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence and sister, Bea Howerton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd or Hospice of Central Iowa. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 2nd, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
