Edith Carnal

Edith L. Carnal, 94, died February 27, 2007 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. A celebration of life service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2007, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Edith L. Carnal was born December 19, 1912 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a homemaker and a dedicated wife, mother, grandma, “gran”, aunt, cousin and friend.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Sandy Zimmerman of Des Moines, her son-in-law, Billy Howard of Des Moines, four grandchildren, Tammy McDaniel of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Rex Howard and wife Connie Canady-Howard of Downers Grove, Illinois, Jody and Chuck Faux of Des Moines. Five great grandchildren, Vickie and Abbey Canaday-Howard of Downers Grove, Illinois, Joe McDaniel of Fort Walton Beach Florida and Amanda and Ryan Faux of Des Moines. Nephew, Don Woodward of Des Moines, niece, Julia Terpening of Waterford Michigan and cousin, Vera Kendall of Des Moines and many other family and friends will miss her. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, infant daughter, Beverly and daughter, Mary Lou Howard.
Memorials may be made to Taylor House Hospice, Iowa Health Home Care or Staves Memorial United Methodist Church.
