Billie Guy Bain, 76, passed away May 3, 2010 at Parkridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill.
Billie was born November 9, 1933 in Cainsville, Harrison County, MO to Ora Lee and Dorothy Bain. He lived all of his adult life in the Des Moines area and served in the U.S. Army. Billie retired from Kenworth as a diesel mechanic after 34 years of service.
Billie is survived by his wife, Sherrel Bain; children, David (Mary) Bain and Kim (Charles) Hodge; sister, Pauline Olson; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Hospice.
