Jeanette M. Castleberry

Our Heavenly Father took His beloved daughter, Jeanette Marie Castleberry, 39, home on April 30, 2010. Following a long and courageous battle with cancer, she died at her home in Ankeny, IA.

Jeanette Boelsen was born Jan 5, 1971 to Ervin “Gene” and Beth Boelsen in rural Rockford, IA. She graduated from Nora Springs-Rockfalls High School in 1989 and then attended business school in Spencer, IA. After moving to Cedar Rapids, IA in 1991, Jeanette married the love of her life, Douglas Alan Castleberry on June 4, 1994. In 2006 they moved to Ankeny, IA.

Jeanette was a loving wife and mother, an outgoing woman who loved to travel, served joyfully at her church in the local MOPS organization, was involved in the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and supported with great pride her husband’s several tours of duty with the National Guard.

Jeanette is survived by her husband Douglas and their son Nathaniel. She is also survived by her parents “Gene” and Beth Boelsen, her brothers Jesse (Julie, wife) Boelsen and Jacob Boelsen. Jeanette is also survived by many extended family members including several nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. She is preceded in death by her brother Aaron Boelsen and her grandparents David and Ester Jorgensen and Pete and Ruth Boelsen.

A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held at Saylorville Baptist Church, Des Moines, IA May 3, 2010 at 11:00 am. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 am at the church.
