Harold Fisher

Harold Fisher, 80, of Des Moines, went to be with the lord Wednesday April 28, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will be immediately following service at Laurel Hill cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Harold was born April 14, 1930 to Ralph and Esther Fisher. He was a member of the Local #234 Operator Union. He retired as a crane operator from Castle Construction. He married the love of his life, Loretta Douglas, January 15, 1955.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Loretta Fisher; daughter, Connie (Gary) Jeffries of Valrico, Florida; grand daughters, Renee Jeffries of Valrico, Florida, Karen Jensen of Des Moines, Sheryl (Wade) Talbert of Minburn, Iowa; Jamie (Ken) Womacher of Lithia, Florida; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother Don Fisher of Arizona; and sister Mildred Howlett of Kanawa, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Esther; granddaughter, Michelle Adams; and a brother Glenn Fisher.
