Service Details
Charles Orlando Reed, 92, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center from congestive heart failure. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Charley was born January 5, 1918 to Irma and William Reed in Lenox, IA. He worked at Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company. Charley proudly served his country during World War II in the US Air Force. He loved being with his family. Charley enjoyed gardening and growing flowers as well as camping.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hazel; his daughters and sons-in-law, Barry and Carla Peck and Thomas and Carol Neumann; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; his brother, Bill. Charley was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Olmstead, and by seven siblings.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your father. We know how hard that is and are praying for comfort and peace for all of the family.
We are going out of town tomorrow so will miss the funeral, but will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
