Service Details

Ursula Coughennower, formerly of Norwalk, passed away April 22, 2010 surrounded by family at Hospice in Mesa, AZ after a 6 month battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 10 AM Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial of cremated remains at Norwalk Cemetery following services.

Ursula was born September 10, 1943 in Germany to Oscar and Minna Klein. She met Larry while he was in the Army stationed in Germany and they married on October 29, 1966. They enjoyed 44 wonderful years together and just recently retired to San Tan Valley, Arizona.

In her spare time, Ursula loved to knit and crochet blankets for premature babies and wounded Vets. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends. When she still lived in Norwalk, she enjoyed making authentic German meals for her family. Ursula enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping and boating. She spent numerous summers at Cutty’s Campground spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Kevin (Tabitha); grandchildren, Justyn, Aaron and Ashley; and sister, Lutzi of Germany. She was preceded in death by her son, Craig, and two sisters, Anne and Liesel. She was followed in death on April 26, 2010 by her sister, Christel of Rodenroth, Germany.
