Linda Ward

Linda Gayle Ward, 62, passed away at her home on April 24, 2010. She is survived by her significant other, Robert Brown-Bey; daughter, Juanita Jackson; step-children, Trena (A.B.), Michael (Veronica) and Roxie (Joe); eight grandchildren, Arthur, Miracle, Billy, Joey, Amber, Shawnta, Louis and Charlesetta; great-grandchildren, Aubrianna and Kaliyah; sisters, Katherine Schult and Virginia (Jay) Bode; brother, Cliff (Vickie) Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her son, Brother Bill Jackson; her parents, Robert and Dorothy (Daul) Jackson and her husband, William A. Ward Jr.

Linda retired from the Iowa Department of Revenue one year ago after 25 years of service with many awards over the years, including the Governor’s Excellence Award.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m Friday, April 30, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
