Gerald Palmer

Gerald Palmer, 70, died at his brother’s home in Carlisle April 24, 2010.

Gerald was born August 3, 1939 in Des Moines to Merlin and Edna (Byers) Palmer. He was a lifelong Des Moines resident. Gerald served in U.S. Army. He worked as an auto mechanic and enjoyed camping and gardening.

Gerald is survived by his brothers, Raymond (Janet) Palmer and Robert Palmer, I; sisters, Nell (Arlie) Miller and Sandy (Garry) Logan; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by parents and his wife, Delores.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
