Service Details
Julie Struve, 34, passed to the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 25, 2010. She was born January 4, 1976 in Denton, Texas to Roy and Jo Ann Struve.
Julie enjoyed going to movies, spending time with friends and family, bowling, volunteering at Sunnyview Care Center,and shopping.
Julie is survived by her father, Roy Struve; mother, Jo Ann Struve; brother, Ryan Struve; aunts and uncles, John Hemsath, Deby Johnson, Nancy and Tony LaMarca, Janet Lott, Issy Saperstein, and Sharon Struve; cousins and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Karl and Aurelia Hemsath, Melvin and Gertrude Struve; aunt, Willie Saperstein; and an uncle, Terry Lott.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 517 SW Des Moines Street, Ankeny. Private family burial will take place before the service. A visitation with the family present will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
On behalf of the family, a special thank you goes to Dr. Jaya Bilgi – longtime personal physician; Dr. Greg Hicklin & Associates – pulmonologists; and to Iowa Methodist ICU nurses and staff.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Special Olympics, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny, or to Candeo in Ankeny in loving memory of Julie.

Jo Ann and family,
I was so sorry to read about your daughter in the paper, but I read it after the funeral. If I had
had read about it earlier I would have come to offer my condolences in person. We use to work together at AEA and you shared your love and concerns about your daughter. I am so sorry to read about her passing in the paper. I hope that during your time of sorrow and adjustment that you will be blessed with peace and strength.

We extend our sympathy to you and Ryan. We never got to meet Julie, but heard so much about her from Sharon. She was a gift from God, and he has her in his loving arms again. She will never suffer again.
Our prayers will continue to be with you, you must be very wiery after sitting in the hospital for past weeks.

Julie will always hold a special place in our hearts. For me she was a buddy and an example of how to share unconditional love. Her smile will always be in my mind and heart. Her parents and brother deserve the highest praise for the care and love they gave her. She gave so much to others in her own special way. For the blessing of having her in our lives we are truly grateful.

Although I did not know Julie I know that she was much loved by her Aunt Deby. My condolences are with you and your family during this difficult time.
