Donald Christenson

Donald G. Christenson, 83, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will take place in IOOF Cemetery in Indianola, Iowa.
Donald was born, August 20,1923 in Des Moines, Iowa. He married Eyloe (Bonnie) Faust on September 23, 1939.
He was a veteran of World War II, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine. Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting, travel, the outdoors and his family. Donald retired as a supervisor of the Instrument Department at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.
Donald is survived by his wife Bonnie of Johnston; his sons, Danny and Ronny, his daughters Dian Cloud and Carlene Shoafstall, and Cherilyn Cunningham, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Donald was preceded by son, Gary, his parents and twin sister Betty and sister Gertrude.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rowley Masonic Home in Perry, Iowa.
