Mary Jane Minarsich

Mary Jane Minarsich, 88, passed away April 18, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mary was born July 25, 1921 in Des Moines to William and Sarah (Mann) Gilleran. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. Mary was a Supervisor at Meredith Printing and retired in 1987. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church for over 20 years. Faith, family and giving to various charities were the three most important things in Mary’s life. She also enjoyed cooking and reading.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sherry and her husband, Ron Music; grandchildren, Amanda Marsell, Leah Perish, Zachary Marsell and Urian Marsell; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Hardee, Ayden Wilson, Tristan Tracy, Vivian Tracy and Kendra Tracy; sisters, Margaret Umphress and Kathryn Green; and former son-in-law, Lawrence and his wife, Linda Marsell (her adopted daughter). She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Berniece Luchsinger; and her former husband, Clifford Minarsich.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
