Harvey Habben

Harvey C. Habben, 75, passed away at the CLC University in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday at Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson,Iowa. Burial will take place at the St. John’s Lutheran Township Cemetery in Palmer.
Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Harvey was born Nov. 23, 1931 in Palmer to Anna and John Habben. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Palmer. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded the purple heart. Harvey worked for most of his life as a drywaller. He enjoyed being with people and loved trains.
Harvey is survived by his son, Monty (Vicky) Habben of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren, Joshua Steven and Daniell (Tharin) Peterson; great grandchildren, Gage David and Allee Sue; sisters, Marlys (Bill) Peters of Manson, Norma Jean (Harold) Myers of Hampton and a brother Dennis (Connie) Habben of Palmer; his ex wife, Palmyra Hawk.
Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines is handling arrangements.
