Richard Kinney

Richard G. Kinney, 61, passed away February 24 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Richard was born March 27, 1945 in Turtleford, Saskatchewan. He served in the US Army. Richard worked in construction for most of his life. He lived in Des Moines until moving to Newton due to his health. He enjoyed doing Indian crafts and in his earlier years bow and arrow hunting.
He is survived by his sons, Richard Kinney Jr., David Kinney and daughter, Theresa Reiter. His 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Kinney.
