Mary Lamberti, 57, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at her home in Ankeny. She was born on August 21, 1952.
Mary saw much of America while traveling and sight seeing. She loved watching movies, especially Gone with the Wind, and was a huge fan of Elvis.
She is survived by her son, Rod (Wendy) Lamberti; brother, Merlin (Janet) Christians; and niece, Julie Hathaway Nepple. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Lamberti; and her parents.
A memorial visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Mary.

I did not have the opportunity to get to know Mary well, but when I had to visit the Wallace building, I frequently saw Mary. I remember Mary when she worked for DCI, which was over 10 years ago. I am so sorry for your loss, and find it difficult to imagine what it is like to lose a parent/sister/aunt at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear families of Mary:
You all have been through so much this past year.
You are in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.
There comes to us a sweet, serene, peace in Heaven;
even though now the sadness can be overwhelming.
Precious are the memories we shared growing up, the
times we had with family, and the special moments I
had staying with Chris & Audrey (Mary's mom n dad),
Merlin, and you swimming, playing badminton, going to parks
when we were just early tennagers. And Rodney, you even
danced with my daughters at the Sibley Country Club

Thanks for the kind words and prayers on behalf of my brother, Fred, who faces similar challenges your sister likely had to face. Your postings to his caringbridge site has meant so much to him.
Illness is indeed difficult for our loved ones as well as those that love them.
The Internet is amazing that we can virtually reach out to others so far away geographically and in time. I hope we can meet up in person someday.

We just want you to know how sorry we were to hear about Mary. we knew her when she was young, Ron thought she was so pretty and liked her so much. I do believe i have pictures of her when she was very young. She looks like her mother did the last time i saw Audrey. You have our sympathy and our love at this very sad time.
