Jesse L. Kuhns

Jesse L. Kuhns, 76, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at Bright Kavanagh in Des Moines. He was born January 27, 1934 in Runnells, Iowa to Violet and Jess Kuhns.

He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors working in the yard visiting with neighbors and friends, wood working and walking in the mall.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Arlene Kuhns; his daughter, Pearl (Rick) Guy; son, Jeff (Jennifer) Kuhns; three grandchildren; step-children, Don (Terri) Bernhardt, Theresa (Bill) Fertig, Mary (Bob) Remmes, Adam (Mary) Bernhardt and Chris (Blythe) Bernhardt; 14 step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jim (Angie) Kuhns and Ed (Melinda) Kuhns. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-sister, Carole Kuhns.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th Street SW, Altoona, Iowa.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa in loving memory of Jesse.
