I had the great honor of working with Jason the last nine years at Dr Pepper. Not only was I lucky enough to work with Jason but I was also fortunate to play golf with him after work and occassionally on week-ends. We often talked about Hawkeye football, which we attended a few games together, and the love of golf. He tried, and unfortunately, was unable to improve my short game. Which he had down pat. We all envyed his approaches to the green.
Your father, brother, grandfather, and son was a very gentle, kind, and all around great guy. His courage that he showed all of us at work was unforgettable. Never complained and continued to work as if there was nothing wrong at all.
I only hope that Jason puts in a good word for me in his new home because I am sure that he is looking down on all of us smiling saying I am in a really good place.
He has and will always be in my thoughts and prayers as well as you and your family.
Deepest Sympathy

I went all the way through 12 years of Catholic education with Jason,
and lived within 6 blocks of him all that time. Our birthdays are six weeks apart. We shared car pools together to Dowling High for four years, first with our older brothers, then with us driving. I haven't seen Jason in maybe 25 years, but I remember him as a great guy. He was always having fun; he was a heck of a tennis player, and he was a loyal friend, son and brother. I can't describe how sad I am to hear of his passing. My thoughts go out to his children and siblings. He will be missed.

I know you don't know me, but I work at Dr. Pepper. I have worked here for the last 6 years, and got to know Jason very well. I thought so much of him. I would be outside for a little break and he would always try to come and stand with me, and we would talk about golf, etc. I love golf, and I know he did too, so we could have lots of fun with it. We were planning on golfing together sometime with Deb Burnquist. But, as we can see, that won't happen.
Please know you have my deepest sympathy. Jason will really be missed be a lot of us here. I know I have missed him since he went home.
We hope you will find comfort, and know that he will really be missed.
Thank you,
Carol Van Andel
