Veronica Reel

Veronica Bridget (Miller) Reel, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Friday, February 23, 2007 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1pm Wednesday, February 28th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Veronica was born September 8, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the co-owner of La Pizza House Restaurant for over 55 years with her husband, Russ. Veronica was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the VFW Post #738, and she enjoyed bowling and golfing. She will be missed enormously by everyone who knew her.
Veronica is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Russ; daughter, Sandra Hohl; grandson, Joshua Hohl; sister, Mary Jackovich; sister-in-law, Carolyn Buttz; special niece, Susan McNalley and many other nieces and nephews. The family would like to share a special thank you to their Hospice Nurse, Cindy Wigton, whose love and compassion will forever be appreciated.
The family will greet friends from 5-8pm Tuesday, February 27 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home where a rosary service will be held at 7pm.
