Lois Lorene Swenson, 82, was born June 4, 1927 in Nevada, the daughter of Claude and Carrie (Zerkel) Ruckman. She passed away peacefully Friday, March 26, 2010 at her home.
Lois is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Hallie Swenson; daughter, Linda (Buck) Grabau; grandchildren, Paul Grabau, Jason Grabau and Kelly Tobey; great-grandson, Jake Tobey; brother, Claude (Norma) Ruckman; and her special in-laws, Bob, Ramona and Eldon and their families. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Swenson; infant son, Bill Swenson; grandson, Matthew Swenson; her sister, Barbara and her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church, 3100 Easton Blvd. Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Health Hospice or First Presbyterian Church in loving memory of Lois. Hamilton’s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

I just read of Lois' passing and wanted to pass on my condolences to Hallie, Linda and the rest of the Swenson family. Linda was one of my best friend's growing up and I will always remember how loving and kind her mother was to all of us who were Linda's buddies.
On behalf of my mother, Kathryn, and my sisters Connie and Leslie I want to let you know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
