Service Details
Alma Funaro, 75, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 pm Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
Alma was born November 4, 1934 in Elvira, Iowa to Mary and Frederick Schwartz. Alma and her husband, Sam operated Sam’s Lounge on Hubbell Avenue as well as the Runnells Inn in Runnells from 1960 until 2003.
Alma is survived by her sons, Jeff (Peggy) of Altoona and Greg (Heather) of Des Moines; 5 grandchildren; her siblings, Eunice E. Violett, Fred “Fritz” Schwartz Jr., Helen Darr, Edna Montugue, Dorothy Peters, Donald Schwartz and Wesley Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Kenneth, and her sister, Elnora, as well as her husband, Samuel.

Sorry we were unable to attend visitation and funeral service. Al is in Minnesota visiting his brother who has ALS. He would have liked to have been with you to share your sorrow.
