Marilyn Bell

Marilyn Bell, 75, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Tuesday at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th. Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Marilyn was born August 3, 1934 in Colfax to Thomas and Mary Sage. She has lived in Johnston since 1969. Marilyn was an office manager in charge of inventory at Computerland. After retirement she worked at Kohl’s. Marilyn loved being with her family. She enjoyed going to Branson and Okoboji on family vacations. She liked going to Prairie Meadows. Iowa basketball was her passion.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert; her son, John T. (Kelly) Leydens of West Des Moines; her daughter, Leanne (Jay) Davis of Ankeny; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; her step-children, Chris Bell of Altoona, Annette (Doug) Buckman of Ankeny and her step-father, Nicholas Leydens of Pella. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother and sister.
