When you lose a loved one you don’t say goodbye, you say I’ll see you later.
Pat leaves behind her long time friend, Joyce Batey; Jack Collins, Pat’s ex-husband from a 30 year marriage; her three children, Karla R. Anderson, Vince Collins and Kelly Collin; grandchildren, Rusty Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Danielle, Adam and Conrad Collins and Kaitlin Cortez; great-grandchild, Brianna Anderson; and Pat’s partner for the last 20 years, who will love her forever, Walter L. Swenson.
Pat at 69 years of age lost her fight with acute myloid leukemia (AML) at 5:27 p.m. March 18, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pat would say, “I wish I could make you a pineapple upside down cake.” She loved her family very much and you had better be kind to animals around her too.
We pray that Pat is in God’s arms now and safe from pain with a lot of yellow roses.

I was checking our employment records I retained so I could refer back when things come up, and I see that Pat worked for Mercury from May 8, 1985, for us for seven years, then until sometime in the early 90s with the buyers. We were original owners and founders. We sold the Company in Aug. '92 and possession was taken by Garrick Doeberle the first workday after Labor Day. I remember the unfortunate treatment of Pat and several others by Garrick and later on his dad who came up from K.C. to help Garrick who was getting in over his head, and then he got more over his head after his dad died of liver cancer.
I didn't see mention of Pat's cmployment. Wasn't Mercury her only job? It seems as though when Pat came to us she hadn't worked outside the home. She was a conscientious inspector, I believe our first one, and she stuck to her guns. I heard about Garrick situations with her, Bonnie McConkey and others after I was let go 12/20/93. I believe Garrick's mother was not in agreement with the way Garrick was running things. I felt sorry Pat and others had to suffer at the hand of an "idiot" and that we left our family in bad hands. We had no idea as this guy acted to smooth.
