Jimmy W. Brown

Jimmy Brown, 54, passed away at his home March 16, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines. A visitation with the family present will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born September 7, 1955 in Knoxville, Iowa to Donald and Jackie Brown. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He loved spending time with his family, including his dog Daisy. He enjoyed fishing, painting, music, dancing, and helping anyone in need. He was a fan of Nascar racing and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Jackie; step-father, Bob; children, Kayla and Adam; grandchildren, Keira, Landon, and Reiley; siblings, Renae (Rick) Gray, Tim (Reda) Brown, and Valerie (Mike) Krafka; half-sisters, Roxy and Theresa; step-sisters, Susan and Mary; step-brothers, Bob and Jim; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and best friends, Bill and John.
