Richard Antelman

Richard D. Antelman, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2007 of heart complications.
Richard was promoted the youngest officer in the Merchant Marines and retired after 26 years of service from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy, he began his next career as a U.S. Postal employee and retired after 20 years.
Richard is survived by his bride of 55 years, Cecelia; his four sons, Michael, Patrick, Timothy and Allen; three daughters-in-law, Jan, Nora and Karla; and eight grandchildren, Angela, Tony, Joe, Jesse, Jessica, Crystal, Shelby and Mariah.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Bondurant Federated Church, 103 2nd St. S.W. in Bondurant. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. There will be a reception in the church hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
