Service Details
Mary Lacona, 74, passed away Monday, March 08, 2010. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM Wednesday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with a service following at 6 PM.
Mary was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and owned and operated Mama Lacona’s Restaurant with her husband, Charlie since 1957. She was a hard working, strong willed, giving woman who was dedicated to her family and always lived life to it’s fullest.
Mary is survived by her children, Victoria (David) Tagli, Chuck Lacona Jr., Vanessa Lacona - Devine (Curt Hutcheson), Jim (Katie) Lacona, Joe (Robin) Lacona; 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; daughter, Valerie Lacona and mother, Gladys.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anthony’s Foundation or Mercy Hospice.

Having grown up just down the street from your Beaverdale shop, I would like to say thank you for being a staple of my youth. Not just for the food, but for the community. Your influence has gone much farther than you'll ever know.
