Mildred Antle

Mildred Antle passed away Friday, March 5th, 2010 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 9, 2010 Hamilton’s Funeral Home 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday March 8th, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mildred was born March 30, 1920 in Des Moines IA, to Ethel Mae and Frank Anderson. She was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1938. She was also a secretary to Governor Harold Hughes during his reign of office. She was a member of the East High Alumni Association and the VFW Post 738. Mildred loved to ballroom dance.

Mildred is survived by her husband of 20 years, Rolland Antle; daughters, Janet (Mark) Brady of De Soto, Susan (Larry) Adams of Cheyenne, and Christie (Dennis) Spurling of Atlanta IN; Seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dale Anderson.

Memorial contributions can be made to the VFW Auxiliary Post 738.
