Service Details
Mabel Bessie Douglas, 89, died March 2, 2010. Funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mabel worked at the Ordinance Plant and was the secretary for Douglas Construction. She was a loving wife and mother and was the greatest grandmother in the world.
She is survived by her son, George (Genieve) Douglas; daughter, Linda (Myron) Turkington; 10 grandchildren, Billy, Phil, Rhonda, Pam, Marcia, Kelleigh, Georgianna, Betsy, J.R., Douglas; 16 great grand children and several great-great-grandchildren.
Mabel is preceded in death by her husband, Mage Douglas; sons, Phill and Bill; grandsons, John Henry Douglas and George Douglas, Jr.; her mother and father, Laura & Fred Thomas; 4 sisters & 2 brothers, Ida, Freda, Grace, Rose Mary, John, Loyal Thomas.

Dear Mabel
You were the best 2nd Mom ever!!I spent so many,many overnight stays at your house,I know Linda and I were a pain at times but you always put up with us,riding poor sawdust and Mages calf in to the dirt! not to mention Georgie's
mule,God Bless you sweet lady rest in the arms of angel's,tell Mom and Dad I love and miss them so much.
