Keith Lukenbill

Keith Lukenbill, 65, died February 27, 2010 at his home. He was born December 23, 1944 to Leroy and Bessie Lukenbill in Bremerton, Washington.
He spent most of his life in Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High in 1963. He then completed the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship and worked for Local #45 in the industry for over 40 years. Upon his retirement he continued to teach the first year apprentices at the Local #45 training center, sharing his skill and knowledge with them.
Keith enjoyed street rods, swap meets but above all he loved his grandchildrens' sporting events.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Judy; children, Shawn (Linda) Lukenbill and Trisha (Andy) Hutchinson; sister, JoAnn (Russ) Pollock; brothers, Larry (Charleen) and Kenneth Lukenbill; step daughters, Wendy (Brian) Davies-Popelka and Sarah (Donovan) Madole; five grandchildren; four step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Scott Lukenbill; his parents; his brother, Chuck Lukenbill.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th, followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 3, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed toward the family whom will be directing them to the Local #45 Training Center.
