Service Details
Richard "Mike" Davis 59, passed away on February 25, 2010 from complications following surgery. A memorial service will be 2 pm Saturday, March 6 at Hamiltons Southtown Funeral Home 5400 SW 9th Street.
Mike was born October 4, 1950 to Lester and Juanita Davis and was an all around handyman who loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by a daughter, Chrissy (James); beloved grandkids, Kyle and Christina; two brothers, Chuck and Bill; four sisters, Audrey, Patty, Carole and Kay; nephew, Barry and many nieces and nephews; a companion, Carole and her sons Steve, Russ, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and sent to the funeral home. Online condolences to:

dear uncle mike you were taken no farewells or goodbyes were spoken i don understand why he chose you im thankful you were in my life and the good meories i have of you and thankful you are not in pain or suffering though you are gone noy forgotten always in my mind and in my herat i love you always ashley

Uncle Mike,
Growing up as a kid you where my hero. Life dealt you good and bad cards, but in the end we were dealt the bad card. I remember you taking me and Barry driving. You dumping my cereal out because I didn't let it soak in the milk long enough. Me spending the night and you making me breakfast in the morning. My best memory is the day you found your daughter. The smile on your face was priceless. I will always love you. Love Lisa

dear uncle mike we were close when i was growing up and when i use to spend the nite with u wish we could have still had that bond but no madder what u are my uncle and i will always love u and will miss u rip i love you ashley

( Chrissy ) and family, we are sorry for your loss. It was good your Dad got to know you and have peace with his life. We are proud that he was able to do that.Love him for that and remember the good times with him. If you want to know any family information or just talk, we are here for you. Barry will give you numbers and address. May your Dad rest in peace and know things are good. God Bless him for making things right. We wanted to come but due to other circumstances we won't be able to. Mike would understand now. We wouldn't want to cause any touble, which there would be.
